Rocky Lee Profile
Endowed with an insatiable appetite for life, Rocky devotes his time between his many charity initiatives. He is a trainer at Angkor Muscle gym, where he provides free personal training, and the founder of Angkor Body Building Association (ABBA), an organisation that is responsible for distributing essential supplies to poverty-stricken villages in Cambodia as well as other parts of Asia. Rocky holds a Master's Degree of Information Technology and is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration.
Established in 2011 by Rocky, ABBA also holds an annual body building competition that brings together the top body builders in Cambodia – the third iteration of the contest recently concluded in September 2013. Although a relatively new event, ABBA’s burgeoning competition has been rapidly gaining in popularity and is already recognised as one of the most prestigious in Cambodia.
In June 2013, Rocky set up a regular charity drive under ABBA that focuses on delivering necessities to poor villages in Cambodia and other parts of Asia. Beside sending these care packages every fortnight, Rocky helps to organise aid missions with a volunteer team that visits the less fortunate and provides services to hospitals, orphanages, and impoverished villages.
Model For Charity
Rocky’s chiselled jaw and well-sculpted body have been featured in countless spreads and billboards throughout Asia. He is the charity ambassador for Singapore grooming centre Thomas D’esthetique and has been on magazine covers such as the prominent fitness publication iFitness. Rocky was most recently featured in Khoo Sang Khoo Som, one of Thailand’s top selling magazines.
When taking on modelling jobs, Rocky displays not just a perfectly toned physique, but also his generous nature. All the revenue he earns from his many modelling assignments is channelled directly into his charitable initiatives – truly a person that never stops giving.
Pro Bono Trainer
Rocky is as passionate about fitness as he is about charity work. Rocky aims to inspire others and guide them in a life of fitness by providing pro bono fitness training at Angkor Muscle Gym, a nondescript gym that has been steadily gaining members – including foreigners – who appreciate its modesty and friendly atmosphere.
In line with Rocky’s desire to combine fitness and charity, he regularly organises biking trips to local villages where he and the participants hand out food and other gifts to the needy people.
